RosettaHUB virtual labs allow you to create pre-configured lab environments that can be launched in one click (VirtualLab Formations). A virtual lab consists of a proxy instance with Guacamole that gives access to virtual desktop of a Linux or Windows instance in the browser.
Identify the Lab to start with (corresponding to the operating system of your choice and closest to your use case)
Right-click on the Lab's icon and choose "Clone", provide a name to the cloned lab
Right-click on the new lab and choose "Customize", change the Label, and icon representing the visual identity of the lab
Right-click on the new lab and choose "Update", change the machine instance type to a bigger or smaller instance
Right-click on the new lab and chose "Configure", the different Tabs allow to attach persistent storages to the lab, to adjust the list of applications enabled or disabled on the proxy-container, choose the perspective (what you get when you click on the session), etc
Click on the new lab to create a session
Wait for the lab to start (a green checkbox will appear on the top left corner), then click on the session to connect.
You have admin rights, install any missing application, upload any missing data
Right-click on the Session and choose "Create Machine Image", keep " Update Originator Formation On Success " checked
right-click on the lab and choose "Share", choose share with "Organization", choose the organization you have created with the students who will use the lab, click on advanced and check "Share with owner", click on "Share" then "Done".
Students can now click on the new lab icon they see on their dashboards, wait for the session to be ready and get started with the lab by clicking on the session. All students sessions appear automatically on your own dashboard.
